What we handle with the hospital
Scripps Green releases a loved one to a funeral establishment through its decedent affairs office. We complete that release, schedule the transfer and bring your loved one into our care. We also prepare the death certificate, obtain the cremation permit and send you the authorization to sign electronically. You do not need to return to the hospital or visit an office.
Information we will ask for
To complete the death certificate we will ask for your loved one’s full legal name, date and place of birth, Social Security number, parents’ names, and the name of the person authorizing the cremation. If you do not have everything at hand, we will help you find it.
