Cremation for Del Mar Families

Beyond Cremations provides direct cremation for families in the City of Del Mar (ZIP 92014) for $950, all-inclusive. We are a licensed funeral establishment (FD 2547) at 5425 Oberlin Drive, Suite 116, in Sorrento Valley, a short drive inland from Del Mar. Call us 24 hours a day at (844) 954-1214.

Del Mar is its own city. The process is the same.

Del Mar is a separately incorporated city, not part of the City of San Diego. For cremation, that changes nothing for your family: the death is registered with the County of San Diego, the same as anywhere else in the county, and we file the cremation permit and death certificate for you. Certified copies of the death certificate are $26 each.

Assisted living and memory care in Del Mar

Del Mar has a number of small residential care and memory care homes, such as Coastal Breeze Assisted Living and Memory Care. When a death happens in a care home, the staff will usually call the family first. Tell them you have chosen Beyond Cremations, and we will coordinate the transfer with them. Beyond Cremations is independent and not affiliated with these homes.

Hospitals Del Mar families usually use

Del Mar does not have its own hospital. Most residents are cared for at Scripps Green Hospital on North Torrey Pines Road, just south of town, or at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla on Genesee Avenue. Some families further north use Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas on Santa Fe Drive. We coordinate releases with all three through their decedent affairs offices.

Scattering at sea, included

Many Del Mar families have a lifelong connection to the ocean. Scattering at sea is included in our $950 direct cremation at no extra cost. If you would rather keep the ashes, we return them in a plastic urn, or you can choose an upgraded urn from $100 to $165.
